The Business Readiness Assessment is prepared by a Certified Exit Planning Advisor from your actual financial statements and tax returns, and reviews your operations and sellability, not just the numbers. It is where most engagements with us begin, and the fee is credited in full toward your engagement if we take your business to market within 12 months.
Owners usually think about a sale as one question: what is the business worth? In practice a good exit rests on three. The business has to be ready for a buyer, you have to be ready for what comes after, and the proceeds have to be enough to fund the life you want. An owner who is strong on one and blind to the other two is the owner who sells and regrets it.
Taken together, the three assessments show you which of those is settled and which needs work. Most owners find that one of them surprises them. That is the point of doing it now, while there is still time to do something about it.
